Langridge Oleo Gel
Langridge Oleogel is a versatile, solvent-free gel medium that when applied vigorously, will become highly fluid allowing easy brushing. Oleogel is a thixotropic medium, a soft gel in its resting state, it become more fluid as it is agitated with the brush or palette knife. As soon as the medium stops being moved it immediately ‘sets up’ and does not drip or lose its position. The medium has little to no odour as it contains no solvents, when using Oleogel it adds transparency and thixotropic body to oil or alkyd paint. Add directly to your paint to give it transparency without thinning its consistency.
- Oleogel does not contain driers, so it is safe to use in oil painting without worry of cracking.
- When mixed with colors, Oleogel does not slow the drying time.
